When you are doing any work, do not think of anything beyond. Do it as worship, as the highest worship, and devote your whole life to it for the time being.

Building Communities
Since 2011
Prerna Urban Rural and Educational Development Society was established in 2011 with a clear vision to empower women, children, and underprivileged communities.
The organization was founded by Priscilla and co-founded by Tukaram Hembade, driven by a strong commitment to social transformation through education, self-employment, and comprehensive welfare initiatives.
Since its inception, the society has consistently worked toward the economic and social upliftment of women by promoting and strengthening Self-Help Groups (SHGs). To date, we have successfully formed more than 500 SHGs, enabling women to access bank loans, understand financial planning, ensure proper utilization of funds, and adopt responsible repayment practices.
Through these sustained efforts, many women have achieved financial independence, enhanced self-confidence, and the ability to effectively manage their own income-generating activities.
Our Orphanage & Ashram
Care for Needy Children
We currently care for 35 orphan children and 10 visually challenged individuals. We provide:
- Free education — Class 1 to Class 12
- Free nutritious food daily
- Free shelter and safe housing
- Medical care and treatment
- Emotional, mental & moral support
Many children come from extremely poor backgrounds — born to widowed, illiterate, or helpless mothers. Some are abandoned with no one to take responsibility. Our organization identifies these children and brings them under our care, ensuring education from Class 1–12 alongside values, discipline, and life skills.
Holistic Development
Along with academic education, we shape complete human beings through:
- Character Building
- Moral and Spiritual Guidance
- Personality Development
- Emotional Healing & Confidence Building
- Protection from exploitation & child labour
- Guidance toward a meaningful, successful life
We strongly believe: Every child deserves love, care, education, and a bright future — irrespective of their background. We work to transform the lives of orphan, single-parent, and neglected children.
